some places feel like they know how to hold loneliness — not fix it, just hold it.
bliNK came from a walk I took through one of my go-to parks, late in the day, sky bruised with light.
the park sits high on a hill, with quiet paths and a wide view of the New York harbor and distant skyline. beside it, the Green-Wood Cemetery spreads out like a hidden garden of stone and trees, peaceful, full of names.
I was alone, but not in a bad way. sometimes lonely is better than feeling like you don’t belong anywhere or with anyone.
I was thinking about the spaces between people and things — how close they feel sometimes. and how hard they are to hold.
I didn’t write it to answer anything. just to follow the thread. it’s out now, if you want to hear where it led.
